misfortune to the young couple, were kept
away by the bride, as well as her
bridesmaids, carrying bouquets of pungent
herbs and stinking weeds. Today, those
stinking herbs and weeds have been replaced
by the lovely bouquets carried on the arms
of brides throughout the world. |
