Marriage commissioners are a wealth of
information and in my opinion seriously
underpaid for the value they bring. To
be married in BC, you need a bride, a groom,
an officiant, a license, and two
witnesses. Everything is quite
literally icing on the cake. I
recommend being especially nice to your
officiant and tipping them well. Keep
in mind that a marriage commissioner is a
civil ceremony and they do not mention God
at all. If you want a religious
ceremony go to your local church or check
out other officiants listed on this page. |
