Why
Wedding Video
Wedding videography has become a priceless addition
to any wedding. For some reason though it is often
the first item cut off the budget. It appears to be
an easy way to save two thousand dollars when other
expenses are mounting. Here are a few points to
consider before you give up on recording your
wedding day memories.
After all the planning and expense of a wedding,
what do you have left the next day? You have your
memories and what is in print and on film. One of
the biggest regrets I have of my own wedding is not
investing more in these areas. On your wedding day,
so much happens so fast it’s easy to miss the
details. A professional video helps you relive the
day and also recall how you felt. You can even send
copies to relatives and close friends who were
unable to attend your wedding.
In a world that worships the entertainment industry,
what could be more entertaining than a video all
about you? A day you look your absolute best and
have everyone you love all together. It can
preserve memories of loved ones since passed. My
father died seven weeks after my brother’s wedding,
and if my brother had a video of his wedding, we’d
be able to relive the happy moments just weeks
before his passing.
It can even help resolve marital issues down the
road. Sit together and watch your video to remember
the reasons you were married and the love you have
for each other. In the end, when your special day
has come to a close, a professional wedding video
will always be there to help you remember the day
that started your life together.
Things to consider in
choosing a professional videographer:
1. Do you like their work? It doesn’t matter how
much you save if you don’t love your video. Be sure
to watch demos from various videographers before
making your decision.
2. Do you like them? Having a videographer that
makes you and others feel comfortable not only
creates better video shots, but helps you to relax
and enjoy your experience. Ask yourself: Is your
videographer excited about your day or is it just
another wedding?
3. Do they work well with other professionals? It
doesn’t matter how good your videographer is if your
photographer, for example, monopolizes your day. Be
sure and inform your photographer and other
professionals that you are having a videographer at
the wedding and let them know how important the
video is to you.
