Making it Memorable
With the cyber connection and masses of resources available to us, brides are taking back their weddings and planning them themselves.  It’s not just budget constraints that make you want to plan your own wedding.  Your wedding is the one day if finally is…all about you.

The fun part of planning is making your wedding reflect your unique personalities.  Don’t be swayed by wedding magazines & other people’s opinions.  Although you’ll want to follow a certain amount of etiquette and be sensitive to other’s feelings, these days the wedding rules are pretty flexible.  Do what you really want, it’s your day.

Everyone that is important to you and your family will be in one room to celebrate with you.  They all want you to be happy and want your day to be special.  Nicole, of “everythingforweddings.com”, says about personalizing “Family and friends are such an important part of planning your wedding day.  What better way to show your gratitude than with a gift that says, “You’re one of a kind.”  Personalized gifts bring the brightest smiles and makes loved one’s feel as if you’ve gone above and beyond for them.“
There are limitless ways to personalize your wedding.  Think about what makes each of you unique from your hobbies, interests, sports, favorite books, films, and ethnic backgrounds.  Find ways to incorporate them in the theme.  Perhaps your fiancé and you love fishing together.  You could have a recessional much like in the military where instead of crossed swords; you have some friends holding crossed fishing rods you run under.

Making your day memorable doesn’t have to be expensive.  A lot of emphasis is put on how you will look and everything around you will look, but people won’t remember every detail or even what was said, they will however, remember how they felt.  They will remember their tears as they watch the daddy daughter dance and hear the words to ‘butterfly kisses’ more than what the centerpieces were made of.  So put some thought also into how you want to feel and how you want your guests to feel.  Write it down as part of your theme and goals.  This will help direct a lot of your decisions.

By personalizing the details of your wedding and spending time on creating the feelings you want, you will have a wedding that guests will be talking about for a long time.
